Why Seek Truth Graphics Exists

Most people do not think much about the message on their shirt.

But maybe we should.

A graphic T-shirt is more than fabric and ink. In many ways, it is a bumper sticker you wear. It says something before you ever speak. It tells the world a little about what you love, what you value, what makes you laugh, or what you believe.

That idea is part of what led to Seek Truth Graphics.

For more than 30 years, my professional life centered on intelligence and investigations. My job was to seek the truth through facts, evidence, motives, and human behavior. But the most important truth I ever discovered was not found in a report or case file.

It was Jesus Christ.

I grew up in the 1980s near the beaches of South Florida, where life was shaped by surf, sand, salt air, and bright graphic T-shirts. I still remember walking into surf shops filled with neon colors, bold artwork, and the smell of surf wax and coconut oil.

Back then, I was not living a life that looked very Christian. But even then, when I looked out over the ocean, I could not shake the feeling that all of it had been designed.

The colors.
The movement.
The life.
The beauty.

It felt like the work of a Creator with unbelievably good taste.

That love for the ocean carried into adulthood. I joined the Navy in 1991, and for more than two decades my family and I lived near the sea wherever the Navy sent us. The ocean remained a constant part of my life, even as my faith later became the foundation of it.

As my faith grew, I began paying more attention to the messages people choose to put into the world. Bumper stickers made me think about this first. If a stranger behind me at a stoplight is going to learn one thing about me, what do I want that message to be?

Then I realized graphic T-shirts work the same way.

They can be funny, bold, personal, shallow, meaningful, or forgettable. But they all say something.

And that matters because we are surrounded by messages every day.

Culture is always telling us what to chase, what to value, what to worship, and who to become. Some of those messages are loud. Some are subtle. But many of them point us inward, toward pride, pleasure, status, anger, confusion, or self above everything else.

That does not mean every shirt has to be serious or every message has to be religious. But it does mean the messages we carry matter.

If the world is willing to use clothing, entertainment, advertising, and culture to point people away from God, then why shouldn’t believers use those same everyday spaces to point people back toward Him?

Seek Truth Graphics was created as a small way to push back against that. Not with anger. Not with judgment. But with designs that quietly and boldly point back to scripture, creation, and the God who made both.

When I looked at Christian apparel, I saw plenty of simple messages like “Jesus Loves Me” and “God Is Love.” Those messages are true and important. But I also felt there was room for designs that invited people to think deeper about scripture, creation, and truth.

That is where Seek Truth Graphics was born.

Seek Truth Graphics combines two things that have shaped my life for decades:

God’s creation and God’s Word.

The ocean is powerful, beautiful, strange, dangerous, and full of life. Sharks, whales, fish, waves, reefs, storms, and sunlight all point beyond themselves. They remind us that creation is not random or dull. It speaks.

Scripture speaks even more clearly.

Our goal is to bring those two together through coastal Christian apparel that feels bold, thoughtful, and rooted in truth. Not just faith worn at church, but faith carried into everyday life: the beach, the boat ramp, the dock, the grocery store, the job site, and the quiet ride home.

A shirt will never replace how we live.

But what we wear can still carry meaning.

Sometimes a simple design can start a conversation. And sometimes that conversation can point someone toward the greatest truth they will ever discover.

After more than 30 years of seeking truth, I can say this with certainty:

The most important truth is not just something to discover.

He is someone to follow.
